Newport County academy manager Jorden Gibson has resigned following a complaint
Newport County academy manager Jorden Gibson has resigned following an internal investigation into his conduct.
Sportsmail revealed on Wednesday that the club were investigating after a complaint was made by a teenage player following an alleged altercation.
And Gibson has now stood down from his role.
A club statement read: ‘NCAFC can confirm that following an internal investigation, academy manager Jorden Gibson has resigned from his post and has left the club with immediate effect.’
Gibson only joined the League Two club in July after six years working in various roles at Stevenage.
However, he had not been seen at recent academy fixtures after claims were made by a player who we understand has played for the first team.
