The Spurs boss is likely to have a restricted transfer budget amid the coronavirus pandemic
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is planning a move for Porto star Luis Diaz, according to reports.
The left-sided winger has reportedly caught the eye of the club’s former manager after scoring 14 goals and making seven assists in an impressive debut season in the Primeira Liga.
And Portuguese outlet Record claim Spurs are considering making a move for the 23-year-old this summer.
Porto signed the Colombia international from Junior for a fee of £6.5million in July 2019 and his contributions helped them beat rivals Benfica to the league title.
The winger was also wanted by Zenit St Petersburg but his international team-mates Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez convinced him to choose the Portuguese side.
Mourinho is likely to have a restricted transfer budget after Spurs missed out on a place in the top four.
The coach reportedly wants to bring in five players as part of a summer rebuild with Southampton’s Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson both on the radar.
The Premier League side also had to take out a £175m loan from the Bank of England amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Spurs have already seen Jan Vertonghen depart following the end of his contract and young striker Troy Parrot is said to be closing in on a loan move to Championship side Millwall as he looks to gain more experience of first-team football.
